EMDR and Trauma Informed Therapy

Support for individuals who have experienced various types of trauma, including childhood abuse, PTSD, and life-changing events. We use evidence-based approaches such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy to help individuals heal from emotional pain, distressing memories, and negative beliefs. Our goal is to help clients regain emotional balance, improve mental health, and build resilience for the future through compassionate, trauma-informed care. Please note: EMDR is most effective when conducted in weekly versus biweekly sessions.

We provide personalized treatment for those struggling with addiction, using evidence-based approaches to promote lasting recovery. We also offer specialized therapy for family members, helping them understand and cope with the impact of substance use on their relationships and well-being. Our goal is to empower individuals and families to build resilience, improve communication, and achieve long-term recovery and emotional wellness.

FAQ

f you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unable to cope with life’s challenges, therapy can help. It’s useful for anyone looking to improve their emotional well-being or gain clarity on personal issues.

Our first session together will last 75-90 minutes, giving us time to get to know each other, to identify your goals for therapy, and coordinate a plan that will help you reach your goals. We will review the forms that I have sent you in advance and talk about your previous history. If necessary, I may provide you with relevant assessment questionnaires designed to help us track your progress.

Yes! We accept Tricare, Optum, Aetna, and Cigna. We also work with Out of network benefits and have Self Pay option available.

Out of Network: As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I can provide you a monthly super bill for you to seek partial reimbursement for out of network therapy. You are responsible for checking with your insurance to ask if they offer reimbursement for non-participating providers. Please note that some insurance plans do not offer benefits for tele-health services, so you may also need to verify this directly with your health plan.

Self Pay: The benefits of using self-pay therapy services are increased confidentiality. Permanent diagnosis is not recorded on your medical record, placing you in the driver’s seat of your care. Many individuals, particularly those working for the federal government, first responders, helping professionals, or those with an active security clearance prefer this increased privacy.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

If you are not using insurance benefits, our self-pay rates are as follows:
Initial phone consultation: (10-15 minutes) – Free

First therapy session (Assessment) : 75-90 minutes -150$.

Individual and couples therapy sessions: 55 minutes -120$

Payment is due at the time of each service. I accept credit card payment via Stripe, an online payment processing program.

Please see our financial page for more detailed information.

Because therapy is individualized, the extent of services you may need will vary, depending on assessment and your personal preferences. Most individuals choose to attend therapy weekly, but the frequency of our sessions may be more or less, depending on your needs. We will work together on determining a comfortable frequency and length of treatment that best meets your goals. We will periodically review this need throughout our work together. You always have the right to end treatment at any time.

Yes, therapy is confidential. However, there are exceptions, such as if there is risk of harm to yourself or others. Your therapist will explain these boundaries at the start.

Therapy can be very effective, especially when you’re committed to the process. Progress takes time, and the results depend on your active participation.

That’s okay! Many people start therapy without a clear goal, and your therapist can help you explore what you want to work on over time.
